Scrappy Wednesday

I worked a little more on the Poodles.  I'm in no rush on this one, it's just one of those 'fun' projects that you take the time to enjoy every moment of.

I'm not sure poodles have 'lighter' puffs when clipped, but I sure have some cute puppies from these scraps.  I have 5 done now with 4 to go.  Those last few may wait for next month as I have some other priorities ahead of them - but then you never know.

The next temperature rosette is done.  Another crazy week along with the 'snow bomb' storm we had.

52 - 38 - 28 - 30 - 20 -28 - 34

Speaking of snow bombs, we are having another from early Weds. morning (already snowing) until Thurs. morning.   Yup, we are in one of the pink zones.

Should we lose power, I have this new Hexie project to work on.  This will eventually be a diamond shape.

If the power stays on, I have pulled those scrappy 'bricks' I cut when prepping fabrics for the poodles; and cutting up some scrap white and w/b 2.5" squares to chain these thru the machine for a stacked coin quilt.

Please be sure to visit today's participants:

Of course, there will be shoveling duties!  The crockpot is out and will give some comfort and warmth to what may be a nasty day.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Love the poodles! And the pretty rosette colours, even though they mean coldness. Hope there's nothing worse to clean up than snow shovelling when the storm is over.

I love seeing your poodle blocks. It looks like a fun project. We are seeing the start of what is predicted to be 12 inches of snow. I love the first few hours of snow. It makes everything look so pretty. Unfortunately, I'm sick of it once it reaches 2 inches. It looks like you are in for a rougher time than we are. I'm glad you have a nice hand project to keep you busy in case of an outage.0

I'm hoping the snow loses interest before it gets to your house! Enough is enough, already!
Love that poodle! (Sally T makes the best patterns, doesn't she?) The quilt is going to be adorable.

I really like the 'curly' fabric on the bottom poodle. Hope you didn't get too slammed with snow. Hopefully all the snow will end soon. Stay safe!

I'm loving your new hexie project. Will the orange also be consistent with each diamond? Here's hoping that the third nor'easter turns into a nothing and your temp rosettes can warm up a bit from less snow!
