Quilters Secrets - Day 2

I hope you enjoyed yesterday's Secrets.  Please remember to visit Mrs Pickles each day for any new information and intro for the day's hostess.  Today is Linda of Buzzing and Bumbling .  For those of you who have helped in sharing the Secrets, Thank YOU!  If you are new to the hop or get lost - just click the button on the sidebar and it will take you to Mrs Pickles and the master schedule. ** and the give away of the day is only available for that 24 hour period **

Is it bigger than a bread box?  No it is a bread box.  Just a summation of my 2013 plans.  I don't make resolutions. I don't worry about counting stash - I use it , play with it, pet it - it makes me happy. I do keep track of thread usage for the year, but that is so I can do a bulk buy at 'sale time' to re-stock and not run out during a project - yes, there will be a need to have that special color as I love thread.  I'm keeping my swaps to just my monthly Doll Quilt group and the 12" Mini group - this will keep me open to anything that comes along .  I am going to try to work with some new color, new fabric lines and new fabric designers, but more importantly, I am going to have FUN and enjoy my quilting.  And yes, my SIL does know me - the bread box I wanted, the coffee cup that says it all (quilt all day-quilt all night), and a new telescoping magnet (with light) to pick up those pins I keep dumping (I think it's Moe).

**speaking of thread - Pumpkin Patch Quilter is going to do a series and review of threads - share the button on my side bar**

** an update on Sandy Hook from Kris at Lavendar Quilts  - please pass the word **

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Yes, I gave up counting my yardage too. It made me anxious. Life is too short. I love that magnet. I might need one. I'm so glad you're a part of the doll quilt swap. I too am trying to resist joining in a lot of sew alongs and working instead on the many projects I already have on my to-do list. I read that we are born with about 30,000 days ahead of us. I'm probably down to about 6,000 now give or take. Time's a'wastin'. Happy New Year, my friend.

I love counting my stash as it comes in ... not because I'm worried or trying to use more ... it's part of how I 'pet' it! LOL! Happy New Year to you, Sharon -- I'm so glad I've been a part of your 2012!! :)

I love the picture of the horses at the top of your page. It took me awhile to realize that there were horses in the picture and even more time to see that there were several horses in the picture. Very cool. Happy New Year.
