Scrappy Wednesday posts are another way for me to keep track of my days of the week - although I lost a day (or thought I did) over the weekend due to a shop flyer in the mail a day earlier than usual. Please, I can get confused on my own. These are the house blocks for our quilt guild's President's Challenge. I'm using the same scrap for the roofs and grass, but is it scrap. Everything is coming out of a baggy for this project.
These are the latest 'mini' versions that I am making of the member's blocks. These are also made from the smallest of scraps from my CW and period fabric totes. A double challenge - math out a smaller version of their block and math out 'do I have enough' of this scrap to complete it. I have 36 blocks now and I need to check the list to be sure I have them all made as I think I am missing a couple.
My helpers haven't been too much of a help. Bella is MIA and Moe discovered the 'napping' items I left on the couch. Yes, I am a napper and I think it is much needed as a stress reliever and replenish at this time.
Next up is to make some placemats with some Patriotic scraps left from the estate gifting to the guild. We donate placemats to our local Meals on Wheels in February, so I'll get a head start and clear this out. It even clears out the cut-off batting. And the hearts remind me that I need to finish up my project for the Hearts on Fire Blog HOp coming up - no red hearts!
I need to run a few errands, but it will be a day of stitching and clearing out scraps.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Those are great projects, perfect for scrap stash busting. I have some errands to do today, then will prepare to hunker down for a while as we are expecting snow on Friday. Scrap Dance Pachanga starts Friday, and I need to get some sewing done on it!
What a cool idea, Sharon. Of course, I absolutely LOVE that you are doing a mini size along with the President's Challenge!
Love all your projects. I’m looking forward to doing some minis while we’re traveling.
Love the house blocks and your mini blocks are very cute and you are clever doing all that maths! Great fabric for the table mats.
