We don't get a lot of very super hot weather, but today the index was in the 100's. I can usually handle the heat with just a fan, but today the AC just had to go on.
And how else to keep cool than to follow the 12 Days of Christmas in July Blog Hop. Please be sure to visit today's participating bloggers:

My fabrics for Sarah's quilt along during this hop are waiting.
And they are cut , ready for today's easy and quick next step.
With that quick project, I had time to add the last corner on my Let's Book It project - the rail/colorwash. Now the borders are waiting - I love borders - NOT. But they have to wait.....
as I have a commission piece to finish up.
It's to storm over the next few days, so I do hope we go back to our normal, more liveable temps. AND that the power stays on!! I have things to do!!
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

love your choices for Sarahs quilt along. and the commission piece tease looks fab too! loving the rails. I have tons of strings and I really need to start using them up. they are taking over the world LOL
I started pulling fabric for Sarah's sew along, but no cutting yet. They talked about the heat up by you on the news, I hope it breaks soon.
I'll be following along as much as I can, but no sewing for the Blog Hop. I have a wedding quilt to make for my sweet niece! Our temps have been moderate for Nashville, probably because we are having storms almost every day, sometimes more than once. We've hit mid-90's occasionally, but no 100's yet.
Your rail colour wash is a stunner! We are now getting your warm weather, but with showers!
Keep cool, Sharon!! And have fun sewing....
I read about this "heat dome" on the news. Geez. You have my sympathy. We're outside the dome in the Pacific NW, thankfully.
Your quilt is going to be wonderful in those fabrics.
I'm with you on the heat, my AC's blasting and we've been having storm upon storm for a few weeks now, the humidity's the killer. You've got some great projects keeping you busy and your pull for Sarah's quilt design will look great. Thanks so much for the shout out today too :D #12daysofchristmasinjuly
We were lucky most of this week that the overcast skies kept the temps down. It's pretty miserable out there now. So stitching in the AC is definitely a preferred path on those kind of days. You picked some festive fabrics for Sarah's quilt along. Looking forward to seeing all those holiday ideas.
I like the fabrics you put together for your Sarah quilt.
