Have you heard of Valerie's Challenge? A Piggy Bank (any container will do) to save your change or spare bills to build up a savings for something quilty. I missed out on the closing of last year's linky - never got my Piggy emptied.
I use one of my famous snack barrels (used for my scrap storage) and covered it with a cute house fabric. It hides what is inside and I keep it on the rack with my other barrels. This thing got filled half way - and then partially emptied. Not only coins go in this, but spare bills and any quilt sales. I hope to show you what I bought with that partial emptying money in a few weeks.
So the rest of the change and some bills and a weekend quilt sale are staying in here to start the new challenge.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Congrats on the quilt sale and headstart on this years challenge!! I save my change for camping money. I change each big pile of coins into bills as the year goes by so I never know how much it was. Maybe this year I'll wait to change in the coins…
Can't wait to see what you treated yourself to, putting quilt sale money in there would make that grow faster and much bigger, I like that idea.
Hi Sharon....so glad you are continuing to save with us!! (An yes..looking forward to your reveal post next month...as YOU patiently wait) But the wait will be worth it!! :)V
Seed money is always good.
Hugs
I have a piggy bank in a cabinet in my sewing table. I've used some of that money to purchase the more expensive vintage machines on my wish list.
I've joined the challenge, too, though since I've played the change game for decades it's more that I'm just going public with it.
