Scrappy Wednesday

The plan is to get the next two rows sewn on the scrappy rail fence blocks.  This is another way to make a log cabin.

I'll work these tid bits as leader enders with those rows and then play with them for a while on their own.  These are 1.5" squares and the barrel was stuffed!  I have a plan for these 16-patches - long term plans.

There needs to be a trip to the grocery store.  For some of you that is trauma, but we are lucky to have a nice little shop just 2 miles up the road.  Well stocked, lovely people, not crowded, and patrons respectful.

Our area of NYS is headed into Phase #2 and more things will be opening.  I know a lot of people are not jumping into things and being very good at following all the rules in our rural communities.  BUT, I can't wait to hug a few people!

Stay Safe and Healthy,
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Lovely to get those blocks sewn up. Grocery shopping, we can go to the supermarket locally, it has safety procedures in place, distancing, only so many in at one time, all trolley handles sanitised, pump spray for hands, and put your goods into the trolley after paying, and pack in bags at your vehicle. The government is talking about opening the border and allowing people from Australia to come in, not sure if they would still have to do a 14 day quarantine. I am still cautious about going out, but last week did visit a fabric shop that had batiks that were new to me. What a delight to bring some home.

You amaze me with your scraps. We’re still in Phase I of our reopening, and I read yesterday there was a spike in cases in 10 counties, ours being one of them. We’ve only had a few cases, and so a spike doesn’t affect a lot of people, but it’s still worrisome.

Hubby gets to get his hair cut next week (yipee). We're planning our guild meeting for next week, too (probably another outdoor, well spaced get together). Even our quilt shops will be starting to open up as of this weekend (lots of rules, etc).
