Monday Making

I've worked thru that large pile of plaids that was dumped on the table Wednesday.  These are left and will be worked into the final row.

The pinks and reds are getting packed into this larger tote for a quilt later.
I have a pattern already in mind that will work up quickly and use most of this up.

Today the goal is to stitch all those rows (and sashing strips) into a quilt top.  I have three large pieces off the shelf that will get put together for the back and it's ready for quilting.  This is my project for the 'Favorite Quilt Block' Hop in September.

My prayers are with all the victims and families of the latest rash of gun violence.  My heart is heavy for our country at this time.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

I’m so with you on the gun violence. Quilting and slow stitching are such good respites from bad news.

I agree about the need for gun reform....;000
those plaids look interesting--I have been collecting plaids and am not used to using them, so will be thinking about a project for them...hugs, Julierose

Sadness that follows from down here to you up North.Senseless, needless, and such a tragedy for all those, and their families. Stiching and sorting fabric is healing.

Your plaids look interesting. So sad to hear about more gun violence in your country.

It was a very sad weekend and just so senseless. You've made good progress on using up those plaids. Hope you have lots of stitching time this week.
