After a rush on some pattern testing (that quilt is ready for quilting) and before I dive back into the tiny bear foot print blocks, I need a day to play. My 2.5" barrel was just stuffed full and I knocked it off the shelf trying to cram more into it. So it needs a day right along with me.
I'll add to a leader/ender project to move that along a little more, plus I am pulling out all the browns because I saw .......
this over at Beth's on her Monday Making. Oh, I love the movement of this and the browns make it so rich. I have a LOT of browns. In the barrel, in a basket, in a tote, on the shelf. I need to play with brown - and this block.
So I need to press, cut, sew, and enjoy the day.
I am thankful for a day of play,
I can see that block in other combinations, and your helper, they have to be right in with the fun/measuring, pin finding. I have to hide my pins as Boris has been known to pull one out of a design board when it was on the floor.
That fabric holder doesn't look like he's going to move easy, he has the look, good luck.
I got to play yesterday and time just flew by. Love the brown fabrics.
Sounds like such a lovely day Sharon! I love days to play where I have no commitments, just stitching on whatever takes my fancy. And that rich brown block definitely takes my fancy!
Oooh, I love those browns too. What a pretty table topper that would make! I'm playing today too, but I'll be working on my happy village.
Love he design and colors.....but really love your fabric holder 😀
Oh this looks like fun especially when you have such a great helper . Love Beth's block , those browns are gorgeous.
Those browns are going to make up beautifully.
Oooo! That's a wonderful block, and it really looks good in browns. Might look good in other colors, too... (RSC, maybe?)
It was good to catch up Sharon. Sorry to see Lets Book It has finished. I didnt get to join in as often this year but being away a lot didnt allow much time for sewing.
Always an interesting read here...xox
You really have the BEST help in the sewing room. Hope you enjoyed your day of play.
Hope you got in lots of play time. Looking forward to seeing how your version of that block came out.
