Monday Making 6/27/16
I had a point in my various projects where I just needed some mindless play. My scrap barrel storage is right near the little table where I have my Juki set up right now - so grab a barrel that is 'over-stuffed'!
I keep several Kona black, white, and snow JRs on the shelf, too. So with those 2.5" scrap squares paired with some Kona snow - quick 16-patches that will need pressing and then assembly into a postage stamp quilt today.
And with the circles for the '365' caught up (actually the total to the end of June so ahead), I need to pull the second Zen Chic 'Modern Background-Paper' Jelly Roll and make up the next batch of rails.

My scrap jar needs me to take a day like that! Claire aka Knitnkwilt.wordpress.com
I love your scraps and storage! Your "365" project is going to be awesome with the pieced backgrounds! Go Sharon!
My fullest scrap bin always gets my attention too. Love all your blocks. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
"Mindless Play". Love it! I did the same thing this weekend! I think my small scraps are moving up to the primary focus lately! They are just so cute!
Colorful wall! Congratulations on being ahead!
The 16-patches are sweet!
Sometimes I like that "mindless play" stuff, too. Love the blocks and circles!
We all need mindless play every once in a while, your's is going to make a cute quilt.
I. Right there with you! I set aside my ongoing projects for a bit of mindless play this weekend, too. Sometimes you don't want to stop sewing, but you don't want to think too much, either. Or perhaps you're working through an issue or working out a problem. It's great therapy!
handy jar you have there but my scraps would need a lot more jars must do something with them! So admire you with the circles must tackle some applique sometime
love your 365 project so far. it is going to be stunning. I am behind on mine at the moment but will soon catch up.
love your 16 patches too.
Lovely 365 quilt! I desperately need some quiet crafty time but it will be a few days before I can get it. I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend coming up maybe with some mindless play of my own.
It all looks great, Sharon. Your 365 is really coming along.
I always love your mindless sewing because you make such gorgeous projects with them! Those circles look great.
Love your scrap projects. Your circles are looking great. I lost my way in April and I'm now about a month behind. Having my knee replaced in August and hope to get caught up at that point in time since it's my pedal to the metal right leg.
You always are great at using up those little bits.
Love the circle project. The backgrounds are so soothing and then the pops of color. Half way there!
Fun scrappy projects. Congrats on being all caught up on the circles.
