May For Me - Day 10

A reminder that this Saturday, May 12th, is the next Christmas Quilt Along - and I am host. Tomorrow I will share a recipe that might give you some ME time for the day or for Mother's Day. I have a quick tutorial project planned for that day, too. So if you could join us with the quilt along or even for the little quick project, a linky will be set up.

I'd like to share another blogger who is enjoying May For Me - Kathy's Quilts.

Thank you for all the well wishes. For those not 'familiar' with me, I suffered a work accident that involved 2 brain surgeries and short coma. Then 2 near-death car accidents within a year of each other. So though I am 're-built', I am no bionic woman and extreme weather changes affect me. Thunderstorms leave me feeling like I spent some time in the micro-wave. My furry medicine pets are a great comfort and things are slowly getting back to norm. I even sewed a little today as well as some organization.

Sharon that is some mini story. I knew you had been in some accidents but didn't know it was that much. I'm so glad you are able to enjoy life now except when the weather doesn't cooperate. I hope the fur baby medicine and hte forecast get you back to your normal self soon.

Thanks for the shout out!
Take good care of yourself. I know from my experience with my brother that pain makes everything in life harder.

Well my goodness! I knew that you were dealing with some health issues, but it sounds like you have definitely had your share of misfortune and then some! I'm so sorry! Take care and do what you can when you can. We love to see your lovely projects =^..^=

Sharon, having met you a few times now, I never would have guessed you'd been through those horrendous tragedies. I always hold you in esteem for your unbelievable talents and kindness, but now I have a whole new image of you. Your strength and perserverance are incredibly impressive. When I think of you, I'll hear "I am woman, hear me roar" by Helen Reddy. You certainly are quite a role model. xxDenise Koller

I'm still chuckling over that last quote...OK, that's enough.
Seriously, my friend, as others have said, I am even more impressed now with all that you do, and I'm so glad that you pulled through all of those tough times. I'm honored to call you my friend across the miles, and who knows? Maybe I'll get to meet you one day! Take care of yourself! (And the furries, of course!)

Well that's some history you have - certainly more than any one person should have to endure, I'm so sorry.

On another note altogether, I'm so glad you remembered about the Christmas QAL on Saturday. I have too, thanks to a gentle reminder from Lesley!
