First I want to thank Marian of Seams to be Sew for organizing this Hop and for the invitation to participate. Also, to Fat Quarter Shop for offering a daily give away during the Hop (I can't get the RaffleCopter to load on my post, so be sure to visit Marian for that).
I share today with these lovely Bloggers:
This is the center of the panel - "Jeepers, Creepers" by Henry Glass. I thought of my grandkids when I saw this, but to be inspired.........
I had to pull out scraps (I'm a scrap quilter) and possibilities. Well, I got side tracked when I found this. And it was also at a time that our sweet Moe went missing ( post of his tale HERE). So it sent me off in another direction.
I had fun quilting this one, but where will it lead me to?
That quilting doesn't show as nice on this side, but the end result...........
a pillow for the chair. My two lovely furkids - Bella and Moe - decor for the season.
But............... I still have to ponder on that panel. These characters crack me up and just happen to be the costumes my grandsons are wearing this year.
I searched some more for inspiration and had that pile of scraps still on the table. Did it lead me in the right direction?
Heck no! I found this great pattern at McCall's Quick Quilts Bonus Patterns and made a wallhanging. Some simple stitch in the ditch and a light spider web stitched thru the 'panes' .
And that panel? Those cute characters - not spooky at all.
So I kept to my two projects - my furkids being my inspiration along with my scrap pile.
The 'Jeepers, Creepers" panel - well............................................
I'll bundle it with a yard of "Happy 'Howl'-O-Ween" by Deb Strain for Moda. Maybe you can find some inspiration with it. Just leave me a comment (and please visit and show your love for the others today) and be sure I have a way to contact you. Will ship overseas. Will pull winner Oct 28 10pm(est)

Love your projects! The panel is great for the kids! Hope I win to put in our little library. I try to keep the wall hanger current! Thank you
That black cat windowpane quilt is amazing. I am just like you: I set out to use one fabric, and end up using something completely different and the original one sits waiting alone for days on end. You are so sweet to share your lonely panel with others.
Hehehe. I like both of your projects and think it is funny that although you had the panel, you kept getting sidetracked and created other things.
Sharon your projects are spooky! Love the cat quilt!
Your projects are all wonderful!
Even though your original plan didn't happen, your projects turned out just great! I can't resist making scrappy projects either -- I think they are always interesting to look at.
I love that pattern from McCall's I had really wanted to make it for Halloween this year, but unfortunately I have not made the time to do so. I am so glad I get to enjoy seeing yours. That is too funny about the panel, I am easily distracted, too.
My email is: bestbelle2010@aol.com
Thanks!
LOL Sharon, regardless of not using the panel, your projects turned out great. I'm sure someone will enjoy the panel.
Great pillow and wall hanging; I love cats!
I love the fur kids pillows. So cute and Halloween themed at the same time.
Was wonderful!!! You always come through...love the McCall cat
I was laughing as I read this, although being detoured by the Moe and Bella pillow panel is understandable, love the way that worked out. The second detour turned out perfect too. Good blog hop, thanks.

This is a great post. I really admire your quilting skill and creativity. I'm going to check to see if I have that issue of McCalls!! Thanks for being a blogger too.
Looks to me like you went in the right direction even if it wasn't the original plan. I just LOVE that cat fabric with both of your babies on it. Thanks for sharing and for the giveaway! Happy Halloween!
I love your quilt with the black kitty. Lots of nice Halloween inspirations.
Very interesting love them all
The quilting is just perfect for the small quilt panal.....really like it. Of course, the furbabies pillow is divine. But the stopper is the feline wall hanging......just beautiful in your scraps. And the photos are fabulous against the fall leaves/branches. Great job for the hop!
Your projects are great! You always amaze me, not to mention, inspire me!
I don't know how you get so much done. Not one but two projects for the blog hop and then not the one you intended. I chuckle all the time seeing how much you accomplish because I remember that this is the year you were going to simplify! Great cartoon, too.
Pat
Very very spooky and cute. Loved it

Sharon, I loved the story of Moe:) we once had a brown tabby who was quite the outdoor girl and loved to leave us searching for a day or two. Your pillow is a great tribute to our "tail" friends. THank you for sharing and it's wonderful to meet you via Blog.

I loved all your projects, but the spiderweb and cat quilt are definitely my favorite... of course I had to read the tell of the tale of Moe and I am sew happy it all worked out, glad he's home, and had a little adventure, one I'm sure he'll soon or hopefully will forget, but will remember the next he wants to wander.
Thank you so much for participating in Halloween Haunts.
