Design Wall Monday - 11/17/14

I have my Lozenges almost a flimsy (goal for the month) - just have to sew the two halves together.  This will go into the to-be-quilted pile for 2015.

These are the next two blocks for Lynn's CountryCorner's quilt along.  This was block #6 and I have been making two of each, so now there are 12 blocks in the box.

These are all my corner trims (with a few extras made) from the Charming Star quilt in progress.  Many are using them for pinwheels, but I wanted to go with something that will make another whole quilt so using them with some of the left over Charms and background fabric to make some Country Stars.

And with some organization of scraps, I found I could not close the cover on the string tote.  So 20 new blocks were pieced to add to the growing pile. Not sure how many are finished, but I know when that recycled salad container is filled, there is enough for a quilt.  I think the rest of the phone book papers will do that - and there are plenty of strings!

Your lozenges looks gorgeous!

I love that you work on your strings when you can't get the bag closed anymore. Wish I would have thought of that earlier! What a great idea!!! Keep up the beautiful work!

This icky weather certainly makes for good reason to stay in and sew. I hope to find a little time to do that this week.

love those string blocks and what a great idea for storing them and determining when you have a quilt. I'll definitely use that going forward.

You are such an inspiration to me. I've been thinking about you a lot lately -- as I keep ironing, trimming and storing scraps! I have to give myself a break and sew but my sewing table is covered with containers for scraps! LOL
