Finishes, Starts, and Contests

I finished the first Brown Bag Quilt using the lovely children's fabrics for whirly-gig flowers and added some stash to make streched 9-patch blocks.  I fussy cut the Halloween fabric - yo-yo flower centers are the haunted houses, ravens are the cornerstones, eyeballs on sticks are the fence and spacers for the back.  I pieced an outer border and the back as we had to use 90% of fabrics - the little baggy pinned to the back are what is left).
I used everything from my stash, batting was pieced , backing left over backing from another project, and binding was left from another project.

I started some strip blocks for the Sew Scraps A-Long and have them completed into a flimsy -hope to have that finished this weekend.

And I have a paperpieced wallhanging in the weekly theme over at Quilt Gallery

I have a few block of the months to catch up on and then I am ready for a new project.

Sewingly,
Sharon

Wow, I love them all. I just finished my Brown Bag Quilt. It was so much fun. I commented on your strip blocks and I didn't know it was you. LOL! Do you do a lot of paper-piecing? I love it. Have a fun day.
