A New Year

I'm hoping this is a better year than the past few.  A lot of quilters think about a 'word' or focus for the year to help inspire their work.  I really need 'focus' but I have noticed several bloggers who work THREE.  Three projects for the month.  One finish, one moved to the next stage, and one new.

This might help me with 'focus' and so it shall be the THREES for the year.  I have plenty of things to be quilted, plenty to of projects that need to move on to the next step, and I will limit my NEW to the HOP projects.  Those will be kept to small items so they are easy finishes

And having a Moe in a Box (actually on the box) makes me smile and take it as a good sign for the year.

Sewingly Yours,

Sharon

I like this idea a lot....it will be fun to see how it works out for you. I think I am going to take a more month by month approach and see what develops this year for me.

I have not heard the theory about projects in three stages before. I like it and think I too will give it a try. Moe looks very comfy on his box mattress. Too cute.

That sounds like a great idea. It never occurred to me to approach my projects that way. I'm jealous of Moe. He looks so cozy on that box. Happy New Year! I keep telling myself this too shall pass, but it's getting harder to believe that.

Great photo of Moe, made my day.
Sounds like a good way to approach your projects for this year.

I need to buckle and make a plan. Some clean up in the sewing room is needed first, so I may tackle that today and inventory the UFOs. It's too cold to go outside anyway.
