In early spring, my favorite flowers are snowdrops peeking through the snow. In may, I'm in love with lilacs. They were also my mother's favorite flower. She was born on Mother's Day, and died 17 years ago this month. And in summer I'm in love with the bright cheer of sunflowers -- huge disks of glorious color.

I'm not sure I actually have a favorite flower type, but I photograph wild flowers a lot -so I guess my answer is any flower I can get near with my camera!

Are hydrangeas considered a flower? I love them because they have such big beautiful blooms and they last forever. If not, then it would be mums with all their tightly compact blooms and rich colors. I am a long time follower.
