January Done

Well, I did a poor job in blogging in January.  I think I froze in more ways than one.  We are known for cold Januarys and boy was it.  We  had snow each week but luckily not the Lake Effect snow in western NY.

No sewing other to help my Mom out with completing another of her quilts and that's OK.

I did take a challenge with some friends in walking 15 minutes each day - indoors.  No risk of freezing and no risk of falling (at our age, not good).  I, also, opened my door or a window with each walk time to let some fresh air into the house.  The goal was to move during a month that might keep you sedentary.

We have a plan for February to get us fit for Spring.

I've had the Sparrows pattern for some time and I think it's finally time to make it.  I like this dark grey setting (I have the background fabric for some time) but will mix up the colors per my scraps as this is a little too red for me.

I have seen this pattern all over Facebook and did a little searching.  If you aren't familiar with Tilda - you can find them HERE with lots of free patterns.  This will look so sweet in 30's prints and I downloaded the Blowing pattern as well - little girl with dog.  Maybe my Liberty fabrics will come into play with that pattern.

My plan is to keep calm for the year.  No commission work, don't stress on the goal trend and do what makes me happy.  My Monday sewing group is doing a challenge of a Tree of Life wallhanging using the strip piece method - no rush and no stress for all of us.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon
