Hands 2 Help - Guest Blogger # 7

Please be sure to visit Sarah today for her last guest blogger with help for finishing up those quilts.

I know I should be working on my Slow Stitching today, but I've had company in and out as well as looking after the home shop.  So I am tackling those plaids some more instead.  Lots of bow tie blocks well on their way.
** link up with Oh, Scraps **

And since I will be off-line later today and thru tomorrow - Happy and safe Memorial Day.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Love your plaid bow ties. But I think plaid anything is a favorite of mine! Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!

I love the bow ties - they look so masculine. Not that they will after they go in a quilt. Looks can be deceiving. I actually have two or three bow ties blocks that I started as by leader/ender projects. I wanted cheddar for the background. When I ordered it online, it looked very cheddar as I call it. I didn't look carefully, and it explicitly called it orange. So, my background is going to be orange. I got the recipe for the small bowtie blocks from Bonnie Hunter's blog. She came to our guild in April and I was sharing my mishap with her. As she delightfully told me, cheddar comes in many, many shades from white to bright orange, so I'm going to have a bright cheddar quilt - some day a long time down the road. Turning cheddar (lemons) into cheese salad (lemonade). Thanks for sharing our beautiful blocks.

For some reason bow ties always remind me of dog bones and that's a good thing as I love my dogs!

Very nice plaid bow ties. Black and white bow ties are on my "to do" list for one of these days.
