With Market, comes time for the Blogger's Quilt Festival hosted by the lovely AMY. A virtual quilt show for us all to enjoy as well as show off a bit. My entry for Scrappy Quilt..........
I do a lot of scrap quilts, but wanted to chose one for this Festival that truly represents me as a quilter. Tiny scraps collected/donated from many quilters and projects turned into a mini. This is 'Cascadia' and a QAL with Lori of Humble Quilts in Nov/Dec 2014.
The scrap barrel of 1.5" squares and tidbits - all that goodness to play with for this project.
Piecing rows in twosies and foursies - just no real care in what goes where. Even some HSTs got mixed in.
Working rows set on point - lots of starch to keep those little pieces from going 'a-wonk'. Trimmings of muslin from quilt backs used up for those setting triangles.
The backing was a scrap off the shelf, batting was a trim off, and the binding was pulled from the scrap binding drawer. A totally scrap project.
Statistics:
Catagory - Scrappy Quilt
Size - 19" square
Fabric - various scraps from numerous resouces, batt Hobbs 80-20
Technique - traditional piecing , straight line quilting on on-point strips and cross hatch on columns with home machine(Superior Thread)
Design - Cascadia by Lori @ HumbleQuilts

Beautiful. On my bucket list are a few people I would like to eventually meet (mostly quilters). One of them is you. You are a girl after my own heart. I quilt like you do, using every piece I have and mostly making scrappy quilts. I do batting the same has you. Even binding, I make. I love your quilt...it definitely says who you are. great job!

Oh my. This is a great mini scrap quilt. You know me. I love little squares. I though it was a big quilt. Good luck in the scrap challenge,
I LOVE it! Mine still isn't done. I sewed the final parts together just yesterday. I thought about putting it in the festival too. Lori does great SAL's.
What a great mini scrapper! I love it. Good luck in the festival. I entered the hand quilting category just for the fun of participating.
Love it! Scrappy is my quilt of choice! ;-)
This is so perfectly fitting and speaks volumes about what you do. A scrap quilt by a scrap quilter with a great big heart. I love it.
Ahhhhh - you know how much I love your scrappy creations Sharon!!!!
What a fun little quilt. It inspires me to do a true scrappy. I'm quilting with scraps all the time, but I love these colorful scrappys. Maybe it's time to pull down a different book from the bookshelf for more ideas.
Very fun scrappy mini. What a great way to use up those little squares.
Lovely quilt...definitely my kind of colours as well
Truly a sweet scrappy! I think following you is what first led me to Lori's site, for this Mystery QAL !
