Winter Storms

I love how they are calling cold fronts a polar vortex.  BUT did you know they are also naming the snow storms?  We have just beaten back the heavy snows of Storm Juno and now we are bracing for Storm Neptune.  This one is to bring sub temps and very high winds - huricane force they are saying.  So with that in mind, I will be 'un-plugging' for the weekend.  See you on Monday - I think they are calling for sunshine that day.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Brr! Stay safe. Look forward to reading more from you after the weekend.

Maybe naming them makes them more likable? It hasn't worked with the hurricanes though. Stay safe and warm.

I thought it was odd when they started naming the storms, but whatever. I just wish this crazy cold weather would go away and stay away. Have a good weekend! :0)

Some storm watcher had too much time on their hands so they started naming snowstorms. LOL Stay safe and warm! Happy Valentine's Day!

What a winter you have had so far! Be safe and we'll wait to hear all you accomplished while being snowed in.

I wonder what it's called when it's snows every day for a few weeks - oh right, that's winter. Stay safe and warm.

Hope you don't the storm. I know what high winds can do. Stay safe!

High winds are definitely not fun. Hope the storm ends up being on the lower end of the predictions.

Our bad weather (ice storms) is predicted for Monday. I hope you are safe!

I noticed that too this year Sharon! I have never heard of a snow storm being named before. But the meteorologists have to have something to keep them busy and get us all riled up, right? A named storm sounds so much more intense than just a "storm" LOL!!! We are about to be hit with the bitter cold temps too and expecting snow on Monday. Batten down the hatches, grab some sewing and cuddle up with your sweet furry cats my friend! See you next week :*)

We received far less than the predicted amount on Saturday night, but the wind outside sounds like a freight train. Stay safe and warm with your fur babies.
