ON THE DESIGN WALL

Well, the hems are all done and now just the buttons and button holes. My SIL had to pick up some new buttons, so we should get this wrapped up today.

And I started to play with some blocks for my guild's 2-color quilt challenge. I have lot's of scrap blues and the muslin tub is full. I am going to make blocks with bird names with a compass center - inspired by this BOM.

TRAVELING STASH

Box # 1 is at Sarah's and she is ready to move it on, so go check out her blog and comment for the drawing.

Box # 2 is on to Linda so keep an eye out for her post to move it on.

REMINDER

Gosh, another month is almost gone. I will not give the count down to that certain holiday - ugh!! But look forward to the month long Block Party at 'Sew We Quit' in November and maybe it will help with your holiday projects.

LAST WEEK at Sew We Quilt for those wonderous give aways and special guests - check out the sewing machine (button)!

CLOSING THOUGHT

Tootsie Rolls were the first wrapped penny candy in America - BUT chocolate candy bars top the list as the most popular candy for trick-or-treaters with Snickers #1.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Bless you Sharon! Shall some Snickers find their way to your trick or treating door??? or do you favor the Tootsie Roll? Happy Ghastlie Monday!

I don't know the name of that lower left blue block, but what a cool way to use drunkard's path blocks - at least, that's what I'm assuming it is?

Love your two color blocks!! Can't wait to see more. Snickers, man it's the banana laffy taffy for me. Good thing none of the kids really like it. Whenever I see little ones they always donate the banana laffy taffy.
