From The Heart

I would like to thank CAROL for hosting yet another fun HOP.  Little projects for quick gifts as we are all pressed for time during the Holiday Season.  And sometimes it's great to use that left over fabric sitting in the corner - a ready made gift for any time.  I find quilters love to give from the heart - and hand - and this year giving is close to all of our hearts.

This project is one of my 'go to' items for little ones, tweens and teens.  You don't need a lot of supplies and a great way to personalize.

The crayon roll up is so quick to make.  There are a lot of tutorials online, but I like this one at Two Little Monkies.  And she shares how to adjust for size crayons and even for pencils.

I don't use juvenile prints often, but I save the few that come in 'gifted' scrap bags just for this project.

You can have such fun with them.  Match with a coloring book or doodle pad and you have a quick gift.

What a great gift for kids, Sharon! I guess you'll have to make one big enough for spools of thread for your granddaughter!! :P

Great gift for the littles (and not so littles)! This would be a fun gift for artists for their pencils, brushes, etc.

This is a great gift idea for the little ones! Of course, it could be for an older "little one" as well, as coloring is so popular now! Thanks for sharing. Love the bright colors you used!

I love the size of your crayon bags and how they roll up. Not too big, just right. Your fabric choices are too cute and I think these would make great stocking stuffers. Thank you, Sharon, for this fabulous gift idea!

What a cute gift for kids. It reminds me of one year when Mike asked for a set of metric wrenches for working on his car. My mom and dad got it, but all it ended up being was a pile of wrenches My mom made something similar to hold them and gave the whole package as a gift. She even machine embroidered a Christmas wreath on it. My mom is long gone, but the wrench wrap lives on.

Great gifts for children everywhere. I happen to love crayons at any ages, but they really do keep the kiddies occupied while on the go!

That's a wonderful gift idea - roll-up for crayons, markers, or pencils. What youngster would not like to get one?

Thanks for sharing! Question: Do the crayons fall out of their pockets? JUst wondering if I should put a flap over the open end???

Thank you very much for hopping. Very cute gift idea and I love crayons to this day. My 2yo Great Granddaughter has just discovered crayons and proceeded to color the coffee table and sofa...oops.

These are the best gifts for littles. They are also great for those that collect roller ball essential oils. I have made a ton of them for a friend to sell in her essential oil business. The possibilities for these are endless. Great gift idea!
