This month's color is Orange with a dab of black and/or brown. Orange is a color I don't use a lot or have a lot of in my stash. BUT enough to find scraps to make those small blocks.
The spool blocks come first as they use the 'largest' pieces of scraps.
Then skinny strings go into the tiny log cabin blocks - and yes, these are paper pieced.
And the little 9-patches come out of my 1.5" barrel. Why cut tiny when you already have it.
I just have the blocks to make for the column quilt, but I may have to get real creative with my bit of orange - or do a bit of shopping.

Great blocks Sharon! I don't use a lot of orange either, so did not think I had much to work with. Then I dug around in my CW fabrics and found a bunch of cheddar/orange.
It would be a real shame to have to go shopping... ;- )
