May For Me 5/15/14

I hope you are finding some ME time.  We've had some lovely weather for a change and I've managed some time in prepping flower beds.  We are way behind on flowering things, but some of the flowering bushes and trees are showing little signs.  Also, more walking time each sunny day and my two furry friends just love that I am outside with them more.

RECIPE

There really isn't a written recipe for Ants on a Log.  These are quick and fun for kids (and older kids).  Some cleaned and cut (4"-6") celery sticks and 'stuff' them with some peanut butter and top off with a row of raisin ants.  Try cream cheese or pimento spread.  Even tuna fish.  I'm sure you can think of other stuffings.  Add some carrot sticks or apple slices and some pretzel rods or thin bread sticks for a quick, fun and lite lunch.  And it will give you a little more ME time.

Those are gorgeous fabrics! I could plan a whole quilt around those yummy colours! My favorite candy is mint smoothies from Rheo Thompson.

That celery looks yummy - lovely and summery too. My favourite lunch is always a bowl of soup, regardless of the weather.

A favorite niece loved raisins as a toddler. However, if a raisin landed by itself on her highchair tray the raisin became a "bug." She would not eat bugs! lol

I love a piece of string cheese and any seasonal fruit for a quick lunch.

Fresh fruit like strawberries and blueberries topped with vanilla yogurt and a couple spoonfuls of Grape Nuts is a great lunch when there is fruit in season.

A container of yogurt is always quick and easy. Today, I'm packing pretzels and some peanut butter for dipping. Thanks for the great giveaway.... beautiful fabrics!

My favorite quick lunch is apples, raisins or craisins, cut yo. Sprinkle with lemon juice and stir in vanilla yogurt with some cinnamon and a bit of good vanilla. If you can wait an hour or so, the flavorizer really improve.
Ps I use greek yogurt

Favorite quick lunch would be cottage cheese and a bowl of fresh berries from our garden (or thawed berries in the off-season). Leftover veggie frittata would have to be a close second. Love the French General fabrics!

Looks like fruit and yoghurt is a favourite! I like greek yoghurt with a fresh fruit topper, whatever is in season. However, on a day when my head is down to piecing, I will cut up an apple and spread a little peanut butter on each section. Yum!

I've had flowers planted for some time now and they were looking so good. Enter the over zealous fertilizer...now they are wilted. I sure hope I can pour enough clear water through that they spring back. :/

My quickest lunch is just a bowl of cereal. It's my go to for a quick meal most of the time.

So far, I've had just a little Me time doing a paper pieced bee block. I hope to find more me time in the next couple of weeks. A lot going on.
