Design Wall Monday

It has been a while since I had something to show for Design Wall Monday - too many secret projects and commissions to get wrapped up.  So not I can play in my scraps with my 'no-commitment-long term' projects.  One being these fun 6.5" scrappy blue Churn Dash blocks.  I have a lot of blue - my favorite color - I just can't seem to part with them.

And these scrappy 6.5" stars - yes, those are 1.5" bits for the 4-patch and then corners on 2.5" light scraps.  I'm sure some of you recognize those white 'bins' that I am storing my blocks in.  Yep - they are those delightful mini Eclairs and/or Cream Puff bins from the frozen aisle of the grocery store.  Not my weakness - my Mom's.  But they are so handy as those  blocks fit nicely and I think 50 will fill them - not sure where or when I will call these finished.

** linking up with PatchworkTimes **

All my secret projects, packaged and ready to head to the Post Office as soon as the door opens Monday morning.  And in my hurry to get them ready for posting - totally forgot to photo one of them - ah, when it arrives, I will have to 'borrow' a photo to share.

And she posted a sneak peek of mine, so here is a little lookie at one of my packaged items.  Yes, the next Monthly Doll Quilt Swap - ready to find it's way to the opposite coast.  When this arrives I can share the whole thing - AND - I made up a tutorial and PDFs for the little doll - so many have asked for it, so be watching.

REMINDER:  The UR Priceless Blog Hop starts today as well as the 100 Block Hop.  Both buttons are at the top of the side bar.

CLOSING THOUGHT

"The wild gander leads his flock through the cool night,
Ya-honk! he says, and sounds it down to me like an invitation:
The pert may suppose it meaningless, but I listen closer,
I find its purpose and place up there toward the November sky."
- Walt Whitman

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

All the blocks look great. I am partial to nine patch and four patch stars. The dolly looks cute and the Friday feline is cute too.

What great eye candy! Love the churn dash in blues...great idea! And your scrappy stars are adorable...but I do have a weakness for eclairs, so may just have to start accumulating these wonderful trays! Your doll and quilt are really sweet...you are the doll queen! Thanks for sharing your wonderful projects!

Love those cream puffs and hubby loves the eclairs and your scrappy starts are great. That will be one very lively quilt. I'm curious about your sneaky projects but I guess I'll have to wait to find out what you've been up to.

What great blocks, I've never done a two-color quilt so that one goes on my to-do list. I especially love the cute stars - please don't get me digging through my scraps again, I have to concentrate on my Christmas quilt!

I'm happy to say I didn't recognize the containers you're using, but now I'm going to have to look into that, they look so perfect.

Those tins are perfect. I love the fact that they have such tight fitting lids. I will have to keep my eyes open this Christmas when all those tins come out for cookies. Your projects are so cute. Wow 1.5" squares!! That is crazy.
