This month I used OMG as a challenge to get an older flimsy to quilted/finish. Please be sure to visit the LINK UP to see what everyone has used OMG to inspire.
My goal was to finally quilt this simple quilt made long ago from an older line of Moda - Crazy for Red. I wanted to, also, challenge myself to quilt a motif not tried on my machine, done a few times by hand on smaller quilts - the Baptist Fan. Being this quilt pattern has a lot of straight lines, the fan would soften them and add movement.
I had to take a lot of breaks as right brain/left brain heavy quilting movements give me angst and headaches. I'm so gald I took the challenge and think it added to this quilt. Washed and line dried for crinkley goodness.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

You have certainly succeeded in quilting nice even fans. I'm sure they enhance the patchwork design.
The quilting is amazing. The background fabric works great with the reds. Is this the Ground Cover pattern from Me and My Sister?
Well done on the finish, wonderful quilt and the quilting is amazing.
This a great quilt. I love the juxtaposition of the reds, creams, and tan. Congratulations on your finish.

The quilting looks amazing! Great job! I've only done this once, and it was challenging, but you've made me think about trying again because I do like the look of it!
Such a classic looking quilt, Sharon. Congrats on a cozy finish!

Love this. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congrats on your finish.
What a nice finish, and great challenge to do a machine quilting that you had not done that way before. Looks like you did a great job on that too.
