I managed to get one block done. The woven hearts are going to be an 'Angel' quilt, so I don't want the blocks to be too dark. This retro purple on an indigo background mixed with a soothing green with such sweet little flowers makes a great addition to this quilt in progress.
I am working with an Indigo and some cheddar prints - trust me - but I am charging up my camera for my outing with the grands.
My baby postage stamp quilt was one of those in the pile of bindings. I used 2" squares, a 2" inner sashing, more squares (trying to use them up), and the outer border is 2.5". I love skinny bindings on these so I use a 2" (scraps) binding.
I am taking these thru my screen door as I hang them across the front porch so the quality is poor. I can't take them from the front yard as that drops really sharply and I would be rolling down the hill. There's indigo in this - right? And I had to laugh - with all the scraps in this, I managed to get two stripe squares next to each other. I don't stress with these as it's leader/enders, just putting a lite with a dark/medium until the rows grow. Finished size after wash/dry is 47.5" x 56.5".
Be sure to see what others have created over HERE with Saturday's link up.
Well, I best get some sleep so I am ready to keep up with 3 grands - yes, my granddaughter is walking!
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Lovely finish Sharon. Postage Stamp quilts are so fun with all the variety.
Great block for an Angel quilt. Your Postage Stamp really makes a statement. I'm just loving it.

love it. have fun keeping up with the grands
I love the postage stamp quilt. Leader/Enders are definitely a secret weapon, aren't they? How many of the woven hearts will you make?
I really like your woven heart block. Very pretty fabrics. I will have to try to see if I can make some. The postage stamp quilt is beautiful. What a wonderful way to use scraps.
It sounds like your day is going to be fun and exhausting, I can't believe she's walking already. The green and purple look great together, two of my favorite pairings.
It's good you didn't risk rolling down the hill for a pic...not good! I love that postage stamp quilt and have one started somewhere in a container. Maybe I should dig it out and finish it...maybe. Your heart block in purple is lovely!
The postage stamp quilt is beautiful. The indigo block is lovely too - great color combination.
That woven heart block is such a good one for an Angel Quilt. Great colour combination. Your postage stamp quilt is lovely. I always view the leader/ender projects as bonus quilts. You don't even realize you're working on it and then - there it is a full blown quilt!
Fitting block choice for an Angel guilt.
Oh my. You know how I LOVE your postage stamp quilts. I think I have collected more than enough 2" squares to start one myself : D
Have a good time with those grands.
Way to go! I love the woven heart block.
Enjoy the grands! My granddaughter is visiting me for two weeks - I took her quilt shopping with me yesterday. (She's been walking for over a decade, so a bit older than yours...) 8)
I'm a devoted fan of leader/enders. I only wish I'd heard about it sooner!
Your postage stamp quilt is inspiring; funny about the stripes being together. The woven hearts is a nice block, to me it looks vintage.
Congrats on finishing your fabulous postage stamp quilt!
Congratulations on finishing you postage stamp quilt! It is wonderful! Have fun with the grands!

I really do enjoy postage stamp quilts. Yours is so pretty. What are the odds of ending up with two of the same print right next to each other. Adds a nice touch of whimsy I think.
Love your postage stamp quilt! Congrats on the finish. Hope you had a great day with your grands.
The postage stamp quilt turned out fabulous!
