I find Angela's Rainbow Scrap Challenge another great inspiration to use those scrap fabrics up. This month's color was Orange - a color I really don't like to work with, but I like a challenge.
As much as I love scrap play, I want to dump those baggies or totes, use it up, and be done/clean up/move on. So I have a tendancy to do all my blocks in one day rather than spread out thru the month.
These are the last three blocks for the Marcus Brothers QAL - skinny button on my side bar for the schedule is you still want to play. Does cheddar read as an orange or a yellow to you?
And as long as the orange was out, I pulled some for the pumpkins in my Let's Book It project. Yes, I found some purple for those HSTs and the one is a close match to the pattern in the figurine's shirt.
Please go VISIT and see what oranges everyone has in their stash to play with.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Great blocks, Sharon - I really like your orange string block!! And I am with you, orange is not my favorite color but you did great!! And I love your Marcus Bros. QAL blocks!! I think cheddar reads as a goldy yellow to my eyes!! One of my favs!!
Your oranges look wonderful, Sharon. It is such a great use of scraps.
Orange isn't a color that I have much of in my Stash. Your blocks look great!
Sharon, love your orange blocks! And the QAL blocks are terrific too! Love seeing the variety of projects you work on.
Love all your blocks Sharon. I'm having trouble finding orange scraps as not a colour I use much.
Love your orange blocks this month. Looks like you have gotten quite a bit done. The churn dashes are a favorite of mine.
Sharon, your orange blocks caught my eye immediately - such vibrant blocks!!!! And yes, cheddar reads as an orange to me usually, but it sometimes depends on the other fabrics in the mix. I love the inspiration from your blog this morning!!!!
What a great variety of blocks you have going. Cheddar reads as orange to me.
I'm not an orange person either; however, I have found that this year I have waaay more orange scraps than last.
For someone who doesn't like orange you have an incredible variety of scraps. As always I just love those little garlic knots. Glad to see you have another orange project in the works for the month of September.
I see Cheddar as orange.
Sharon, I just got to say that I love following your blog because it is a great resource to find the activities going on in the quilting community.
Cheddar is orange to me, and I like it when it's used for vintage blocks. You did well with your challenge. Everything looks super.
Love all your orange blocks. A day making orange blocks (or any blocks) is a good day.
I love your cheddar blocks. You have made lots of lovely orange blocks.
Great blocks Sharon , I would be hard pressed to find enough orange to make even one block . I think cheddar reads as an orange , I do like cheddar . Great work !
I agree with you. Take out the fabrics you need, make the blocks and clean it up. All your blocks look great. I think cheddar is a hard color. For me it leans more to the orange than yellow.
I am not much of an orange person either but your blocks turned out very nice.
they look great! orange is not a color I have in my stash. love the pattern on the top right. what do you call it?
would love to make one myself
Those are great orange blocks. I'm behind on my RSC blocks but hopefully I'll get caught up soon.
Great job with your scraps this month! I see cheddar as orange.
Really all I can say is that I agree with the comments, your blocks are a delight.
Oh boy do I love those orange blocks! I know how you feel about using all the scraps up to be done with them. As the year grows longer, I feel like I want to join in RCS again so I can catch up and use all those scraps! Can't wait to see your book it project done, the only thing better than orange is putting it together with purple!!
Your orange blocks are lovely, but the last one of the Marcus Bros. QAL is really gorgeous. Well done.
Great blocks! I love all of them.
Diggin' the oranges Sharon!!
