Slow Sunday Stitching 6/26/16

Slow Sunday Stitching

I will be joining Kathy today and helping her celebrate the 4th Anniversary of Slow Sunday Stitching (and there is a give away).  I think we all need to take that time to just slow down - be it any part of our journey in our life.

I have some catching up on my circles for the '365'.  Once those two stacks of 2-rails are used, I have to make new ones - my Monday schedule.  They remind me that I am half way with this project - I am enjoying this one.

And then I have my bits of Hexie fun.  I am not rushing these even though they don't take long to do.  It will give me the opportunity to slowly collect the 30's fabrics for the setting blocks for this quilt.  Yes, I could buy a FQ bundle, but I want to enjoy the full journey with this.

How do you slow down?
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

I always start my day with some slow stitching, it's such a peaceful way to begin each day. I'm still loving Quilty365, also!

I enjoy slow stitching in the evening, while I catch a show or two.

I'm sure you enjoyed your slow stitching yesterday. For me no sewing happened though I did accomplish cleaning out Jammer's closet with all that he's outgrown. Sunshine's closet is next.

These posts always make me think of taking up some kind of hand stitching, slowing down for me means grabbing a book and heading outside with the dogs.

I agree, lets enjoy the journey of quilt making. Yesterday, I too worked on my hexies. It's not a race, it is just fun! Enjoy! ;^)

Isn't it amazing that it's already been 4 years since Kathy started her linky? It's always been one of my favorites. Love your circles, as well as your choice to slowly gather your fabrics. FQ bundles are easy, but I enjoy the process of choosing fabrics individually too.
