April here in the NorEast was much like March - cold, snow, and wind. So I truly bid a farewell to April and hope May brings something wonderous.
In my keeping it simple - one project on my to-do list was getting the border on my Snowball/9-Patch. Not only did I get the border on, but I finished it. A simple SID quilting and used the same border fabric for the binding - not my usual.
Another to-do item is to keep up with the RSC15. April was the color purple and all my blocks were completed. Actually, I made a lot of blocks - not just purple - during the month of April. BUT I tend to fall in love with a block and just keep chaining them until there is a pile. Then I send them all off for some lovely ladies to finish playing with them.
And my Let's Boot It project - the nickelquilt. Now whether I get to those borders in May??? You all know how I love to add borders.
I was very bad in participating in Slow Sunday Stitching. The flower cross stitch got picked up - the floss sorting got to me and I was caught up in other things. Even my hand stitching on a binding didn't get done.
My distraction was playing. Not just with lots of blocks (and three commission quilts), but with this cute lamb fabric.
Just some fun organic quilting for some texture and the last of my 'fun' fabric for binding.
And I had to make sure my guest post was ready - but that I will tell you about tomorrow - MAY - may it be wonderous.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Your snowball quilt looks great, Sharon. I love the little lamb quilt.
I really love your houses. I haven't seen this pattern. The commission quilt is adorable. I agree the weather needs to warm up. I still am using my electric blanket. Your projects are lovely.
Those lambs are gorgeous!
That lamb quilt is so cute and such a good idea, quick, easy and adorable.
I love the snowball quilt - it's perfect and the lamb quilt is so cute. Maybe May will be a little dryer here. I'm so tired of the rain.
The snowball quilt finished up great!
I LOVE your snowball/nine patch. The lamb quilt is so sweet too.
Everything looks great! Congrats on getting your snowballs and nine-patch quilt done...it looks wonderful! :0)
Your Snowball Quilt looks great! Nickel quilt coming along beautifully. LOVE the baby quilt. I quilt a lot of my quilts with those wavy lines. Gives the quilt movement. Cute purple house blocks. You know how I like house blocks. Maybe I'll pull one of my old house patterns for Let's Book It.
I love that lamb quilt too, and need to remember that idea to use up some panels we've got in the ministry stash! So cute!! Your sixteens and your nickel quilt are also wonderful - particularly the nickel quilt! It looks like it will be wonderful to snuggle under, borders or not....
What a cute little lamb quilt. Lots of great projects. I'm sure May will be great, too.
So much wonderfulness and joy, and that's the main thing!
Other projects can wait!
We've had a beautiful April so I'm hoping that May is the same. Lovely work!
Already another month gone.......yikes!
I too hope that our nasty weather is finally gone. Enjoy the sunshine.
Even though you didn't get everything done you wanted, you still had a pretty productive April. Hope you get some wonderful weather in May. Ours has gotten off to a sunny and warm start.
Forgot to say... I LoVe the snowball quilt too...xox
Great projects! Am loving that snowball quilt especially.
