When I saw this pretty button on someone's blog, I just had to check it out. Naturally anything scrappy play grabs my attention so I had to join in with Leanne over at She Can Quilt.
And it helped (or didn't) that my Mother had just passed on a box of scrap strips from a quilt she just finished. I pulled my zip bags of left over light JR strips.
A lot of cute 3" log cabins - I'm paper piecing these due to the woven fabrics as it give a little more hold to them that regular piecing would. You can find a lot of free printable size and shape cabin blocks with Google Search. I'm using a free pattern from Christa Quilts found HERE.
And adding to the pile of blocks - not sure where these will go or how many - will just keep 'logging' until those scraps are gone and maybe by then a plan will develop.

Sharon

Oh the possibilities!
Ooh they are pretty - so glad you are joining in with out #scraptastictuesday adventure!
I don't think you'll have any trouble thinking of what to do with those pretty little logs :)
Making great progress and even better, accomplishing some great stash busting!!
I have started a friend scrap quilting at the early age of 84. And she love it - I can't keep her in enough scraps
Oh cute! Can't wait to see it all sewn together.
That is a perfect forum for you with all of the beautiful scrap work you do.
Oh so cute! The things you can do with those blocks. I look forward to seeing what they become.
I love the colours of your log cabins, Sharon.
Love Love Love Log Cabins!!! Can't wait to see them all together :*) I'm planning on Scraptastic Tuesday helping me to get serious with my scrap mountain :*)
I've been looking at scraps for two days now -- but not to sew! Luckily, I'm enjoying the organising process now that I've found the containers I needed at a price I was willing to pay! And next year, when RSC comes around, I'll be ready with pre-ironed and cut scraps! And I have the beginnings of several more quilts too!
I have been scraptastic since I retired, or should I say, stash-tactic, lol. I have purchased very little fabric, and have been dipping into my scrap containers every chance i get.
What pretty little piles of fabric you've got to play with!! Your logging is looking profitable!! :)
I love log cabin blocks. And the scrappier the better! These look like a lot of fun to play with.
You are certainly a master of using up every last tiny bit.
Very pretty log cabins!
I love your tiny log cabins, what a great way to use the scraps.
