Jelly Roll Quilts
This month's favorite Summer Project for A Quilting Life is your favorite Jelly Roll Quilt Pattern. I have a lot of 'go-to' JR patterns, but I love this one for the flow and color. It is my own design and the tutorial can be found HERE. It is a Faux Braid using just a half log cabin block - yes, just ONE block.
You get the design by color lay-out and setting of the block. Very quick and very easy as long as you label your rows.
And this was the first quilt I had long-armed by a new longarmer in the area and I love this pattern that flows from one area into the next adding to the design of the braid.
The fabric is a Bunny Hill design 'Lily & Will' and I added some of my stash lights. The backing is a Benartex lite brown floral on brown. Finished size is 58" x 66".
Maybe you have a favorite or go-to Jelly Roll quilt pattern that you would like to share. I will be linking up HERE - you may want to check out some of the other quilts for inspiration and resources.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Your quilt is just lovely Sharon.
Sharon,
Those are some of my favorite colors. I especially love the quilting because it's just the right amount.
wow Sharon this is so pretty, love these colours and love your design, well done on such a beautiful finish.xx
Beautiful quilt, and that quilting design is fabulous! Your new longarmer did a wonderful job! I'd be interested to know the name of that quilting design as I think it would be very versatile.

I love the design, and the fabrics you chose. And your quilting is beautiful!
That is a beautiful jelly roll quilt. I hadn't seen it before and am going to check out your tutorial. Thank you!
Thanks so much Sharon....this is another great jelly roll idea! Will go check out your tutorial now!

Gorgeous, Sharon. Your colors are perfect. Thanks for posting the link to the tute too!
That's lovely Sharon, and the quilting is perfect for it.
Love this.....how come I missed this technique until now? You might want to re-post this tut.
A great quilt layout and I love the colors in this one. Beautiful quilting on this one too.
Your quilt is so pretty and just like Debbie I wondered how I missed that. It's going on my list, thanks.
I love your design and quilt Sharon! Very simple and effective - the best kind. I've only done one JR quilt using a Bali Pop. I adore the quilt, but I really struggled because many of the strips were not a true 2-1/2". I haven't bought a JR since!
What a cute pattern! I love it. I have bookmarked your tutorial. I would like to try this sometime. I think scrappy version would be very pretty too.
The fabric, the quilting and the design all work together beautifully. You made one gorgeous quilt. Thanks for the tutorial link.
Beautiful quilt Sharon!
I really like this pattern you came up with and the colors in this quilt are just beautiful.
Your jelly roll quilt is stunning! Love the fabrics and quilting!
Great design... and I love that Lily and Will fabric!
This is lovely and the quilting design is perfect!
Just beautiful. I'm not a lover of edge-to-edge longarm quilting, but in this case, it's perfect for that quilt. Wow!! I'd bring more quilts to her, for sure!!
It's gorgeous! I love the color and the quilting. It's so modern.
I have a layer cake that's collecting dust. Do you have any "go to" patterns for layer cakes? Love your finish!
I love this quilt! The half log cabin blocks very interesting way to make a braided quilt. Thanks for the link to the tutorial ... :) Pat
