Updates

An update on the Country Charmer QAL - I only managed to get three more blocks done during the month of March.  But this is a work at your own pace, no pressure QAL, so I am not stressing - I want to enjoy the process with this.  Pattern designer, Lynn of Sewn' Wild Oaks has a lovely set of photos of how she quilted her finished top.  I will be linking up with Lesley The Cuddle Quilter - you should visit some of the others progress.

It was a bit of a stressful day - after a lovely Easter . We started out with sunshine and 50ish weather and then within an hour it dropped almost 30 degrees, high winds, rain, snow, hail.  I really thought we were headed for a tornado - so I powered down the computer and TV and put the Emergency radio on.  I did some sewing though - just to keep the jitters down.  66 log cabin blocks speed-chained thru that machine.  I think the faster the wind blew, the faster I sewed!  Yes, the furries were just as scared (or more) as I was!!  We really did not find Mother Natures April Fools Day a big joke.

HELP A QUILTER OUT
The lovely Michelle of Quilts from my Crayon Box has a request out for a special project - a 100 Wishes Quilt for a special young boy - please go read her blog post and help out.

I even spent time writing my April 'to-do' list and hope to have a majority done by the end of this week - a lot has to be done early.  And filling in the calendar with notes for QAL,RAL, SWAP so I am on track.

The next big SewWeQuilt Hop is the April Showers - see button - I am scheduled for the 9th.
Kaaren of the Painted Quilt - see button - has a new Row Along.  I did her Raggedy Friends QAL and just love that quilt, so yes, I am doing this one!

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Great Country Charmer blocks Sharon. I love that you are adding "color" around the center square. It looks like you quilted up a storm with your log cabin blocks!

I absolutely love your CC blocks, the colours are gorgeous.

As for Mother Nature, she is a real practical joker this year isn't she?

Beautiful blocks Sharon, and that same storm came crashing through here yesterday and the winds were unbelievable and the rain just came down in buckets but it did get rid of a lot of the snow .Much colder today and more rain , yuck .

Your blocks are great. I can't believe that you got 66 log cabins done the other night.

The wind here is insane and I can't believe that we had snow this morning. Uggg. Hopefully that is the last of it!

Thank you so much for the mention about the donations for Joey's quilt. I hope that I can get it made to him quickly. I don't know how much time he has and want to make sure he gets to enjoy it.

I just noticed how alike the Country Charmer blocks are with the Jared Takes a Wife blocks we made in Bonnie's class yesterday :*D Maybe that's why I am so drawn to you and Lesley's blocks every month :) So glad the weather decided to settle down and not get too ugly! I'd have been hiding under the covers with the furry ones!
