DWM & H2H

I finished the latest block for the Forest BOM - the deer.  I had thought of changing this up for the white tail deer we have here, but this reminded me of the large "black buck" that use to room our mountain for many years.  It was an oath for everyone to let this handsome fellow be king of the hill for his lifetime - no hunting him was allowed!!  He was truly a magnificant animal and for many years we had some very 'dark' coloured white tails linked back to him.

And block #17 - strip block - for the Favorite BOM.  I may be making more of these for fillers or maybe a border.

And block #18 - Yankee Puzzle - gosh, just two more blocks for the Favorite BOM - then it's time to start putting these out on the floor, playing with a layout and borders.

A lot of pressing on the postage stamp quilt for Hands2Help.  With so many seams, I really wanted this to lay flat for quilting - this is the underside of the quilt so you can see all those lovely pressed seams.

All sandwiched up and under the machine for quilting - walkingfoot and lots of straightline stitching ahead.  Since this photo I have just the border to do a little quilting on and then attach the binding - so on schedule with this one.  How's your H2H quilt(s) coming?

Wow! So many great projects featured today. I'm very impressed with your postage stamp quilt. Pressing all of those seams must have taken hours!

The deer block is lovely. Good luck with all the pressing - that is the only problem with the postage stamp quilts!

My goodness, your block #17 is wonderful, done in all the colors I love. The buck is great, as well and very realistic.

That looks like the elk that roam the streets in Estes Park, Colo. Nice job.

What a beautiful deer block! And story!
Quilts made wits LOTS of small squares are special. You want to pull them round you and read a book, watch TV or take a nap. They're a "10" on the "Cozy Quilt Scale".
