Orange & A Winner

Well, another color that is lacking in my stash.  NO do not send me any!!  The goal is to use up your scraps and I certainly will with these few orange scraps for this month's color.  I went thru every tub, tote, pre-cut barrel just to find this little pile.  And no, I do not have FQs or yardage of orange either, but I can make this pile do with the blocks I am working with.

The blocks I am making that need the largest pieces are the 'Sprout' blocks, so I worked these up first. HA, those pumpkins in the one square just crack me up! And melons and sunflowers and turtles (in the batik) - hey, it's orange.

The winner of the traveling stash box is Barb H of Stitch x Stitch and I will send her an e-mail for information to mail this box right on.

Signs of Spring:  The birds are slowly returning and the feeders are full and noisy; the geese are gathering on the corn fields and ponds, resting up for their next leg of the journey home; the fur babies are shedding their winter coats; and the skunk was out last night!!

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Your orange blocks are great! I'd say that your stash had just the right amount and variety of orange fabrics. Well done!

Your orange blocks look great. And I was thinking the same thing driving home last night....even with the light snow falling are we done with the worst of winter? I sure hope so.

I was surprised at how few orange scraps I had too Sharon. I love the color, but in small amounts. And apparently when I use it, I tend to use it up - no scraps left LOL!!! But I have some scraps from a scrap exchange from a few years ago, and I will make do with those. Hoping to find time to play with them this afternoon :*)

Thanks, Sharon, for sending me the traveling stash box. I've been traveling myself and haven't had a chance to check blogspot for a few days, but I'm home now and will take care of the stash as soon as it arrives. I'm sure there's lots of good stuff in there and I'll add more good stuff to it before I send it on it's way.
