I will be joining Beth today for some fun making play time. Of course I have to put a few lengths of thread into that quilt binding, too.
This is my original play time with Wendy's 'Bleeker Street' QAL. I am using sections to make minis and trying to use up some scraps from that one tote. We're starting with the house and first tree.
Not sure I like that black strip. I pulled my shoe box of bonus HSTs and I think they might play nicely with this. Now to have a little fun.
Find time to play today,
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon
I like the idea of a black footpath at the front, ( hope it is meant to be the walking path) and with those HST, looking great.
ReplyDeletelove it
ReplyDeleteYour house block is looking wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHmm...the black didn't bother me until you said something. On the one hand it's a nice contrast to the HSTs but on the other hand, your grass has died. LOL. The project is adorable no matter what.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sarah, the black was fine til you said something :). I saw it as a street or path. The HST's look perfect.
ReplyDeleteCute and I like the idea of doing minis like that.
ReplyDeleteI love the bonus HST!! I like the black. I think it gives a nice contrast and a 'partial' frame to the house. But I also think it would be lovely without it!
ReplyDeleteVery fun. I like the black strip, it's a nice resting point before the border. Happy stitching this week.
