  2. The Sandy Hook tragedy has hit our area very hard. We are only 30 minutes away from that lovely town. My daughter took horse back riding lessons there as part of a Girl Scout camp program. Our niece's fiance grew up on the same street as the shooter. His family is currently on a corporate rotation in Dubai and the tenants they leased their home to lost a child in the shooting.
St. Rose of Lima is a wonderful parish and they have been shouldering a lot of the responsibility for the emotional support of the community. We belong to a Catholic church over the border in Ridgefield, Ct.Our church and Diocese has been offering monetary and spiritual support to aid in providing counseling. It is amazing to see the outpouring of love and support that is being offered in our communities and on the internet.
I was relieved to hear that the children will not be returning to the Sandy Hook school.
