Whooping Up A Friday Finish
I finished up September's Schnibbles pattern 'Speck' with those wonderful London fabrics. And teenie buttons in each center - had to use my beading needle to sew them on.
And I strip pieced the back with them - they are just so wonderful and made for such a pretty back.
Linking up with Friday Finish with http://richardquilts.blogspot.com/ (many blessings to the family as Richard's Dad just passed away) and with Whoop Whoop over at http://confessionsofafabricaddict.blogspot.com/ and with http://crookedseams.blogspot.com/ (Let me see Your Jelly Roll)
Just a few more days left of National Sewing Month - hope you get a chance to enjoy thread and needle..........
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Your quilt looks lovely Sharon.
Great quilt. Really love the fabrics and colors.
I love both sides of the quilt. What an inspiration. I need to get back to sewing.
Just beautiful! Congratulations on your finish. I wish I could say I was going to finish today. Ha!! Enjoy your weekend Sharon!
Sharon you are so right - those fabrics are wonderful! Of course, the Schnibbles does work well to show them off too. I stitched a lot while we were traveling but not one thing since we got back - had to go straight back to work. :( I'm hoping this weekend to finish up my block for the Leafs Me Happy Blog Hop! blessings, marlene
Amen to all the comments so far! Wonderful quilt and I love the backing!
I love the fabrics you used in Speck!
Congrats on a finish. I love Schnibbles.
Oh, Sharon - I LOVE your quilt - both front and back!! And I too hope to get a teeny tiny bit of sewing done this month - maybe Sunday afternoon!!
Love the way this turned out!
I like the beading you added. Wonderful finish:)
Well done Sharon, wish I could see the small buttons you sewed on. Put it is a great finish.
I love that you strip pieced the back! It's pretty much two-sided now!
Very nice quilt. I love the strip pieced backing.
Just love what you did with this pattern and fabric. Beautiful. I have a question for you - I have practiced this "X" block several times and have a problem getting everything to line up, do you have any hints? Bernie
Oh I love the fabric you chose and the button idea is adorable. I am finishing mine today, stay tuned for a post tonight or this weekend...
Great finish as usual. Love the added buttons- made them look like posies. Happy Friday!
It never ceases to amaze me how different a quilt pattern will look from one set of fabrics to the next! I've seen a lot of 'Speck' around blogville, but I have to say, I really like it with your choice of the London fabrics!! And wow, those buttons really were tiny -- I had a hard time seeing them even with the picture blown up!! Happy Friday, Sharon! :)
Great finish! There is such an inspirational flurry of fabulous finishes today! This was National Sewing Month...CRAP! I've got to get busy and make the most of the weekend! All the Schnibbles quilts are so fun...how does she come up with so many great treasures??
In stitches,
Teresa :o)

Love that back....isn't it funny that sometimes the back is just as pretty as the front?
Your quilt is really pretty. And I like your pieced back. I need to try that more.
Love your Speck Sharon...pretty fabrics.
I like the back! And, I like the vintage looking fabrics :)
I have never done a Schnibbles. I need to try one, they are so cute.
What a fun pattern. It looks great!
What a cute quilt! I love the strip-pieced backing - it makes it reversible.
