A Finish and a Winner

The 4th of July was a bit of a wash out here - lots of rain.  But the locals didn't let it keep them from making lots of noise.  I could watch in any directions for a 3 hour span and see (and hear) fireworks right from my front porch.

I had some friends and family stop in today - hence the silence and being late with a post.  It was gorgeous today!  But I was able to finish that little bit of hand work for Slow Sunday Stitching and as soon as every one left, I stitched it up into a little needlecase.

Random picked #1 - Joanna

I will get in touch with her for mailing information and thank you ladies for participating this month.

One of these months I plan to join you in the Book It gang. I have some old Miniature Quilts magazines (from the 90's) that I want to drag out and play with.

  8. I'm glad you finally had some nice weather and company to enjoy it with. Sitting on the front porch and watching fireworks sounds wonderful and long as the furbabies were O.K. with the noise.

  9. What an adorable needle case Sharon! Quilters can never have enough of those. It rained on our 4th celebrations too, but I understand the Big Show in Nashville went on anyway in the pouring rain, and our neighbors certainly seemed to be having a ball too LOL!!!
