September's 'Let's Book It' Winner

What's a blog post without photo's - even when I take the blurriest ones ever!  I have been really good at using stash and scraps all year and thought I needed something NEW!  Hancock's of Paducah had a 20% off your total order sale and these two FQ bundles were already on sale - so one came out 40% off and the other 50% off - plus I had a usable code for free shipping - YEAH!  The 'Vintage Sunshine' by Ellen Crimi Trent for Clothworks is earmarked for a pattern already - hopefully Novemeber fun.  And the 'Softly Spoken' by Marcus Brothers is being added to some other collected fabric for a 'Heritage Stars'  (McCall's Quilting) for 2015 - yes, I am planning out 2015 already.

Our LQS moved location and we had to go visit their new shop.  My Mom had a 20% off Birthday coupon (if you are on their mailing list they send you a birthday card with coupon - Quilt Bug).  And we thought it a good time to do a little leaf peeping at the same time - we are almost at peak.  This was right as you walked in the door, brand new, just had the shrink wrap removed, new smelling, calling my name.  'Tuxedo Cats' @ Exclusively Quilters - there was a whole line, but I just bought the panel - Moe would have been so upset if I passed this by.

My SIL and I both fell in love with this Christmas line and decided to split a panel.....

as well as some of the coordinates.  This is a Bee Sturgis Design for Quilting Treasures.  Jeri picked up an armful of FQs and my Mom picked out an applique pattern with a few fabrics for it.  We had lunch out and then took a long scenic drive home - leaf peeping.

OK - time to announce the winner of September's Barn Quilt Pin and 8-Pointed Star Charm:

#2 - Christine @  MacDonaldsPatch

I will contact her for mailing info - thank you ladies who linked up, hope you play again in October, and help spread the word.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

  1. Now that sounds like a fun day! Love all your fabrics but especially the Christmas Line. With those blues you could use it even in the other winter months. Heaven knows we have enough of them!

  14. I always buy panels like the one with Moe all over it :), so I'm real interested to see what you do with it. I wonder if Moe will like it or just say "not as handsome as I am".
