Scrappy Wednesday

With all of the body stress from the quilting marathons, today will be a good relaxing bit of stitching on those many Broken Dishes blocks I need.  I am gleening thru my CW totes to use up the smallest pieces of scraps first.  yes, they would go lickity-split cut from yardage - but where is the fun in that?

And after seeing so many starting to revisit an old friend - cross stitch - I just had to pull my supplies out, found a nice little pattern out of the many books I have, and just enjoy another leasurely thread art.

I'm sure somewhere in the week I will get the urge to get marathon quilting again, but for now I am slowing down.  It is to be cold and wet, so the crockpot will go on to marinate the house with wonderful aromas as I work a little at the machine and little with needle in hand.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Oh boy....nothing better than a crockpot on a cold day. I’m going to end up with a pile of bonus triangles from the new scrap quilt I’m making. Maybe I’ll try that broken dishes block to use them.

I love the thought of getting to my scraps and using them. I will retire in April and hope to then set a bit of time aside for scrap quilting. I have not worked on a cross-stitch project for some time but have many I would love to do. Enjoy slowing down a bit, I love to use my crockpot too!

Quilting and cross stitching on a cold, gray day...absolute heaven to this girl. Happy sewing! --Andrea

Nothing better on a cold wet day than to hunker down with a good project while the crockpot makes dinner. Can I come over if I bring dessert? Lol

Sounds like a perfect day! It is 25 degrees here this morning, and I want to do the same - fire up the slow cooker and get to the sewing room.
