Organization Leads to Squirrels

One of my monthly goals is to get these shelves re-organized as part my Scrap Challenge.  Some things went into piles for guild members (just not my style, but theirs) and for the church group.   A few large pieces (2 yrds or more) went into the large tote that holds backings.  It was a good start, but then I saw a squirrel.  Not the four legged kind - those guilter's "squirrels" - distractions.

I happened be going thru my solids when I got a 'blip' for a need for testers.  This was the perfect pile of goodies for that project.  Yeah - I was drawn into something not on my list.

Yup, cut right into them and started to play.  Fresh fabric, fresh pattern, and add a wonderfull sunshiny warm day with doors open - it was fabulous!

This baggy - I hate to keep things in baggies - was found crammed behind those plastic shoe boxes.  My longarmer gifted these some time ago.  Cut offs from a Windham fabrics quilt - she does shop samples.  Actually, I think this quilt went to Market - but I have these great scraps.  Yeah, different sizes but I will make them work - a plan is formulating as I stitch these.  I can use them as leader/enders or if a day just needs some mind-less sewing - they will go thru that machine like crazy.

**this line is  Rhapsody in Blue and you can see several quilts done up over at Wendy Shepard's - Barb made the Blue Star - gorgeous!!**

So my organization might go on hold until that test quilt is done.

I am Thankful that generous quilters share their scraps with me,
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

That pile of pretties would have had my squirrel scrambling too, so bright and fresh.

Quilter's squirrels are the best kind :)

Can't wait to see what becomes of those pretty bright solids.

I would go for the bag of blues! I would find something to make out of them:) Nice attempt on clearing up the stash.....mine lives on the floor a good bit of the time.

Every time I try to organize I get distracted and start something different.

Oh boy, don't I know that feeling! Usually, it's because I have to walk through the kitchen on my way to the sewing room, and I end up baking or pickling something instead. LOL

I think it's safe to assume that those kind of squirrels hide in piles of fabric we all have. Looking forward to see which tree you ended up in by following both.
