While the Wind Howls

It has been a bitter day.  We are sub temps and super howling winds making it beastly outside.  I had a door fly open - luckily no broken window panes - and one of my front windows blew open, too.  I can't get that one to close tight enough to lock it (settling old house) - a bit scarey!!

Love it when the back of the block looks as good as the front.

I did get all my blocks finished and with the howling winds still persistant into the night there will be little sleep.  SO - I am putting these  into rows and possibly even into the complete top.

I don't normally get excited about a new ironing board cover, but look what my SIL picked up!  LOVE IT!!  And a new lint roller in the pink zebra stripe pattern.  You would think I was a modern quilter.

Off to give to very nervous furkids a pet and scratch and then back to the machine.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Great work on the blocks. I sorry you were kept awake by the weather and the nervous furkids. Our two really hate it when it's windy or thundering. Scamp will hid under the duvet shaking but fortunately Picasso isn't as bad.

I hope the wind has laid down by now, my two and me to be honest, don't like windy nights, too many bumps and thumps to sleep with. I like the design when you put the blocks together, I knew it would be cool. Great ironing board cover, I think they should be pretty since we spend so much time on them.

Great thread grabber on that new cover :) Scary with winds and windows that open and doors too. That is a bad one.....safe in and safe and very warm!

Stay warm and safe. Heard it's going to get worse instead of better, there.

And what's not modern about you Sharon? That awesome grey ironing board cover and pink zebra stripe lint roller definitely put at least one of your feet firmly in the modern circle :). I like have one foot in modern and the other in traditional - so much lovely variety and potential there! We've got snow and ice today, but thankfully no wind - stay safe sweetie!!!

So sorry about the winds, so happy you are accomplishing beautiful blocks. Hope that snow line will be below your area.
