On a Monday

That vexing Batik quilt finally has it's quilting finished.  Today will be a good day to get that binding on (and label) so it can truly be called a 'finish'.

My 2.5" storage barrels have been staring me in the face.  Yes, barrels as there are two of them now and I rather like to keep these tamed to just one.  What to do as I have made six quilts already with these.  Then I saw THIS QUILT in progress over at Beth's and I asked her if I could play with this pattern, too.

Just so you can see how insane I am - there are actually 4 projects in some stage of progress on the ironing board.  Some being prepped into it's next stage to be use as leader/enders while working on that quilt.

A few of the blocks completed and pressed - waiting for it's companions to come play with them.  Once that binding is done my pets, we will play some more today.

What are you playing with this Monday?

  1. Beth's quilt is such a great use for those squares. You always make such wonderful scrap quilts.

  2. I love that block - can't wait to see the companions. Sure wish I was at home playing today. I did enjoy a partial weekend at the machine.

  3. Love that star blocks. Beth can turn a bag, box, or pile of random scraps into a wonderful quilt. My 1.5" string plastic tub is getting full. After I go through some orange, red and turquoise scraps, I plan to make a colorful string block quilt ... or two.

  5. Ah, taming the wild strips! I hope this quilt makes a dent in them for you. Do I dare tell you that reproduce at night. Sometimes different colors but the bin seems to stay forever full! Good luck.

  7. Woohoo, a finish! I've been playing with Kevin's vintage machines and I finished a binding for a charity quilt that is headed out the door tomorrow (tornado victims).

  9. Great finish. I have way too many projects on the go. With teaching a quilting class, it seems I just keep adding more.
