I pulled a pile of scraps from that basket of brights and quickly made up some half log cabin blocks.
If I can move the 'queen' of the house - I just might get this one quilted right up - a simple meander with occassional loop
And I managed to get my Nested Churn Dash blocks together. I only went with the 16" block setting - remember large blocks make me nervous. I have been auditioning different fabrics for sashing, but nothing has pleased me yet.

I like you projects! Your kitty looks so comfortable I would hate to disturb her! On the churn dash blocks, how about the darker color you have in the HST for the sashing?

ReplyDeleteThe queen likes those pretty scrap colors, so do I. Funny, but I like the table color showing through for the churn dash, it looks like it matches that center block.

ReplyDeleteLove those churn dash blocks, and I think Dana and Debbie are right-on with their comment about the background sashing, that gold-brown surface the blocks are laid on looks so much like the color in the center churn dash - picture perfect.
