A Quilter's Oath

I saw this on Patty's Blog and just had to add this to my NewFO and 2014 Year's list of 'to-do's.  Please feel free to share on your own blog.

Oh how perfect! I love the way it ends by reminding us to not disdain the beginners coming behind us. I remember how the quilting community here embraced me when I was a beginner - they encouraged me and that gave me the freedom to grow & enjoy my new-found hobby! If they had not been welcoming or encouraging, I would have never become a quilter and my life would be totally different today.

Very nice! I especially love the last part - I remember feeling so inadequate as a new quilter. Now I can actually share what I've learned over the years...and boy is that a nice feeling. :) Hope you are finding much time to sew!

Wonderful words and although I am. Not a beginner when I see how much some of you quilters accomplish I still feel very inadequate at how slow I have become as the years go by. Blessings Sandra

It's a great reminder. This year, I finally came to the realization that I do not have to feel guilty about UFOs. I have started to follow your example to send tops to quilters who will finish them for charity projects. I sent out 4 UFOs and 1 new top last week and am scouting the sewing room for more. It feels good to know they are gone. I'm still dealing with stash guilt.
