I am Whooping it up as I have my 'Catalicious' a flimsy. I actually added another row of squares to the top and bottom after this photo. I will add a final muslin border - then this will be ready to sandwich to be ready for hand quilting - BUT that is for next month.
I have no idea why my photos load blurry as they are fine on the camera and on my album site - but when I load them to a post they blur. I just love the three 'ladies' blocks so had to show them.
And I wanted to show the table runners that I started during the Christmas QAL weekend. This one used the little bit of Hoffman Challenge fabrics and the backing is a Hoffman. These are all lovely metalic fabrics and I used a metalic gold on top and a black on the back.
And those cute Nancy Halvorsen panel parts that went into this runner. I had this pretty Benartex poinsettia print for the back. I like when you can use both sides of a runner for a change of decor. And both runners used up some
'quilt cut-off' lengths of batting, too.
Yes, my kitties do that to my table clothe - stretch and claw for some attention. That's why I use flannel backed plastic instead of nice fabric clothes. I have a new one which I plan to put on this weekend - we shall see how long that lasts!
And there was such interest in that bag of selvedges - not to worry as I am already starting to fill it back up. Yes, I go thru a lot of fabric! So maybe by November this will be ready for another give away.
I will be linking up with Confessions of a Fabric Addict for Whoop Whoop Friday.

ReplyDeleteboy you have been so busy, love them all Sharon, well done.xx
ReplyDeleteLoving your Catalicious flimsy. I've stitched up a few of those blocks for smaller projects. They are so much fun! You've certainly kept busy! You're all ready for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYour Catalicious flimsy is really cute. This will finish up into a great quilt. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in the cats quilt, so bright and happy and the Christmas is so pretty, I like the traditional colors and pictures.
ReplyDeleteDoes the blur only happen when you zoom in for close ups? Your other pictures are perfect. I know it's difficult to experiment since you need to post to the blog, but next time try taking a step back and zoom from there.
You are so far ahead for the holidays...and your runners look so good. But the kitty cat embroidered top is so soft and lovely. This is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour Catalicious quilt is delightful. And Christmas will be here before we know it. Looks like you'll be ready in time with those lovely runners.
ReplyDeleteI love your "ladies" too! Very cute quilt!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute!
ReplyDeleteThe Catalicious Quilt is one of the prettiest quilt tops I've seen; I love it. Both of your table runners look great. Love those, too. Whoop it up some more; that's beautiful stuff.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt top! Christmas table runners, too. You go girl.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! You are unbelievable! You need to take some time to sleep.
ReplyDeleteOh Sharon! Those Catalicious blocks turned into a wonderful quilt!!! What a nice quilt! And how great that you have runners completed, all ready for the Christmas season! I never thought I would care about selvedges, but I went to a class yesterday to learn how to cover a box with selvedges - and it is just adorable! I'll be sharing it on the blog soon (I still have to finish the top binding before I can show it :*))
ReplyDeleteI really like both of the runners! The Nancy Halvorsen prints are a favorite...great to be able to reverse and have two different looks.
ReplyDeleteCatalicious is darn cute. My goodness love the embroidered blocks. The table runner from the panel is super sweet. I save the extra batting for these sorts of projects. You get so much done.
ReplyDeleteYou get so much done I bet you never sleep! I love the catalicious quilt it's adorable.
