Hands 2 Help Link Up
Today is the link up for the Hands 2 Help Charity Quilt Challenge 2013 over at Sarah's Confessions of a Fabric Addict. I committed myself to donating two quilts - one for Happy Chemo and one for Quilts Beyond Borders.
I love playing with scraps and pulled my barrel of 2" squares to make a Postage Stamp quilt. The tradition of these is not only of early recyling, but where usually gifted to a new family into the community. This quilt has been sent and confirmed received by Happy Chemo.
I fell in love with this line - Apple Jacks by Tim & Beck and thought it would make a fun quilt full of color and texture. A great snuggle, full of hugs quilt for a child. This quilt has been sent and confirmed received by Quilts Beyond Borders.
Thank you Sarah for again organizing this Charity Challenge, to all the sponsors, and a huge thank you to all those who have participated.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Great job. Guilts are such a wonderful gift to be able to give to make a strangers life a little happier.
Thanks for the reminder about the link up! LOVE LOVE LOVE the postage stamp quilt. And the Apple Jacks fabric is awesome.
Both of your comfort quilts are beautiful Sharon. Your quilts will give joy and comfort to someone who needs a little happiness and will put a smile on their faces. I've always loved the postage stamp quilt. I think I am going to have to get out another pizza box and start one...it's a great quilt to use up scraps, and I have a ton, almost! Thanks for the inspiration. Happy Stitching, Pauline

They both turned out great. I would have loved to make a few for those great groups too but as you know, I've had others on my plate. Next year won't be so crazy so I can join in then.
Your postage stamp quilt turned out really great! Both are wonderful additions to the H2H Challenge.
