Pets On Quilts Show
Today begins the Pets on Quilts show over at Snoodles a.k.a Lilypad Quilting. Pets on a quilt, quilts with animal themes, etc... I know you have to have something to share.
My fur babies just did not want to co-operate on this. I trained them too well I guess as they are not allowed on any quilts. I put quilts on the couch, beds, opened rooms they aren't allowed into to spread out quilts, quilts on chairs. NOPE! As soon as that quilt came off the couch and I threw that blush 'horse' blanket on it - boom - there they were. Bella having a 'preening' and Moe out like a light.
Other Catagory
So I have a stand-in. One of my chain-saw bears with my 'Bear in the Woods' quilt (see the bears in the triangles?) that was done for the Sliced Apples Quilt Along. Not quilted yet as it is "in line" on the pile and I have a nice chocolate brown blushy with bear paw prints in mocha for the backing. I don't think I will use any batt as the blushy is really thick - a new process for me.
Be sure to hop over with Paddington to see all the entrants.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon
**I will be vending for the next 4 days, so will try to reply to comments each night**
Thanks for the shout out, Sharon! Love your kitties....they are exceedingly well behaved! Moses will just nap wherever he wants to, and when he hears me coming down the hall, he jumps down and plays innocent! Thanks for joining in the fun - and hope vending goes well!

Great photo of your cats at the top of your post. I don't think that there would be anyway to keep Mars off my quilts- she really does think they are hers to check out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in the blog hop.

Anna

My cat is similar to that. She won't lay on a quilt unless it isn't for her! Or I put it in an inconvenient spot like my sewing chair.
ReplyDeleteSuper quilt. Love it. Your 'stand in' did a good job! lol.
ReplyDeleteWow, you did a great job training your cats!
ReplyDeleteCats can be so temperamental with it comes to photos - lol. Love your quilt and your bear is the perfect stand-in. Good luck with your vending!!

ReplyDeleteI can't seem to train my pets to do anything they don't want to do in the first place! If there is a quilt around to lay on, there they are. Love the quilt.
