November Christmas Quilt Along

Wow, the last quilt along with Sue, it does give a wake up call! Getting set up and waiting on the coffee. I will update on this page thru the day.

I was going to work on the Christmas quilt done with this group - just needs quilting (binding made and ready), BUT I need to straighten these units. AND by the dust, also pull them out and do some cleaning. So I am going to do several small projects working just from these units while I clean/organize. Ah, coffee finished brewing - now I can start!

UPDATE

Here are a few of the 'manly' eye glass cases finished - for the senior home . For anyone new - the cases tutorial I did is here.

UPDATE

I made some tea wallets - will pair up with some teas for gifts. Need to clear that work spot up and then some lunch before the next project.
** I found a tutorial that is very close to how I make these -
here.

UPDATE

I straightened out the under-bed storage tote of X-mas fabrics - bagged all the strings (next years project) and bagged the small bits that need cutting down (have zip lock bags started with 2", 2.5", and 3.5" squares). I added my 12 Days of Christmas blocks in this. Now I will just pull once a week to finish up that project as the blocks are released.

I managed to go thru each drawer in the white tower and clean/sort/arrange each one. They weren't too bad, but a few items got tucked in the wrong drawer and needed to go back to their rightful home. I need to fold laundry and get to some other household chores. I have some fabric pulled to prep for key fobs. But I will be running into my time for hand stitching. So calling this my Quilt Along day.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

AHH Ms. Sharon, your sewing area looks nothing like mine!! I need to purge a lot of stuff for sure.
But not today. Need to get my Fabric Challenge done.
So much to go and so little time for me..

I will check back later today and see your progress..

Enjoy your day!

Good Morning, Sharon! I would've guess that you are very organized...that's how you get so much done. I'm going to hope a wee bit of organizing will rub off on me thru cyberspace. I'm looking forward to checking in to your blog later today.

thanks for your inspiration1

I am sitting in a mire of scraps! Computer in front of me, sewing machine to my back- I do organize and then when I start a project it all goes out the door along with odd threads and fuzzies, I guess I need to Vacuum too!

The glasses cases are great. It's a wonderful idea, and I think you should add a comment that you have a tutorial for them, for anyone who doesn't visit your blog regularly.

I'm glad Sue mentioned the tutorial because that was my first thought when I saw them. Great idea for a useful gift.

Oh, I love the tea wallets!! Lucky for me, I organized my sewing cave last week, so I get to just sew. Nothing worse than trying to work in a cluttered area! Makes me too scattered.

You are outrageously organised, Sharon! Have promised myself a good tidy up when I have Scatty Stars finished BEFORE I start on the next project.

Love the glasses cases too - what great presents!

I hear you Sharon! I can hardly remember my name until I get that first cup of coffee! Love the glass cases. You are always doing such wonderful things for others. Good luck with your cleaning and organizing. If you are like me, you might find a long lost project!

Doesn't it feel better when things are in their place. I did the same thing as I ran out of work area...now I'm free to make a mess again! :)
