Whoop Whoop Friday

I was happy to get my Mod Bear Paw quilt into a flimsy center as tomorrow Lorna will be walking us thru the instructions for the foot print border.  I know, borders.  Did you notice 3 on this already - then the foot prints, and then another - maybe even another.  What am I thinking!!!  But I love this quilt.

And this one is ready for sandwiching and quilting.  I made these blocks for the Rubix quilt last month for Let's Book It, so I am happy they are finally a flimsy.  All scrap solids in pinks, corals, blues, purples (no those aren't yellows, just a pink that photo'ed poorly) and some leftover jelly roll 'snow' strips.  USED UP!

  1. The bear paw quilt is beautiful. The bear looks difficult to make. A very nice Rubix scrap quilt.

  3. Your bear paw quilt is wonderful. I think in this case you'll be happy you've added some borders - they really contain that bear!

  4. Your paws look great!!!! Borders, I think you can stand them if you really love the project or the fabrics. That is why some things are such a trial to complete:)

  5. Love your Bear Paw quilt! I'm so going to have to make this one (once the graduation quilts are done). Yours is looking very cute and cuddly. Congrats on it and on your Rubix flimsy. You've had a very productive month.

  8. Your bear paw looks awesome. I had the entire week off work this week, and haven't managed to get downstairs to stitch one stitch. What's wrong with this picture???? Love the Rubix quilt too. That would be a great candidate for my hand dye fabric pile.

  12. It's a pieced border. Think of it as more blocks, not a border. It looks GREAT! I stitched more bear paw blocks yesterday. I need to start on my Bear blocks.
